Transit Equity Day
Renewable energy advocates rallied in City Hall on February 6th to call for the electrification of New Jersey’s public-transportation system. The event, organized by Jersey Renews along with the Amalgamated Transit Union, came the day after “transit equity day,” an effort by the labor movement to call attention to climate change and promote public transit as a civil right.
